Hey Guys,
I will be attending school in mid June looking to have my CDL mid to late June I am thinking of running team out of the Fontana OC for two reasons.
1. I think this is where I would get the best experience driving.
2. Probably the best $ I can make as a rookie driver.
I was told by SNI recruiter that starting pay would be .30 per mile and would average 5k-6k miles per week. Does that sound about right? I am counting on SNI to pair me up with a driver hopefully that goes well. If there is anybody thinking about running team out of Fontana OC sometime mid to late summer please let me know. Obviously I am a rookie driver I am looking to run two to three weeks at a time since I am married with 4 kids and would like to get home and see my kids and wife at least once or twice a month, non smoker and I have clean driving record. Drive safe guys!!

You might need to jump over to the Schneider chat thread. See if you can get someone there to give you more details.
I only know one team out of Cali. And they've grumbled about getting out, once they're ready to leave home.
It may be a bit difficult to find someone to team with, with your expectations of home time.
And I think you misunderstood the starting pay. You might need to have that clarified. It would be the first time I've heard of someone getting .30 a mile as part of a team. Just starting out.
That would imply a .60 split. Don't think so.

Thanks for the info in terms of hometime what do you think is more reasonable at least 3 weeks out at a time? What is more realistic for pay is. 30 a mile too much or not enough? Thank you.

3 weeks with the right co-driver. You'll have a chance to speak with a few once your hire in. If any are looking.
I can't say with any certainty what you will be paid as a team driver. But for a team to split .60 a mile (for .30 each) is almost unheard of in this industry.
There are companies that pay that and more. But I would be hard pressed to believe Schneider did. Especially when they start most new solo drivers in the .30 a mile area.
Dedicated teams make some serious money here. With some getting home every weekend. But it's not as common as one would need.

My wife made .32 mile with less then 1 year exp. And about a month otr exp. This was less then a year ago.
Hometime they are good about getting you home but you need to communicate when you want your home time. They would like you to be out at least 2 weeks. Make sure you communicate with them.
2 weeks out gets you 3 full days home
3 weeks out get your 4 full days home
4 weeks out get you 5 full days home
. . . . is what they try to do.
