I finally talked to a Schneider recruiter, got the info I was looking for and agreed to go with them. I start orientation on the 27th in Charlotte, which is awesome for me since I live half an hour north of their terminal.

Any advice is surely welcome, prayer is encouraged and I thank you in advance.

    good luck.

    advice?

Act like orientation is a week long interview. Dress appropriately, use courtesy and pay attention.

most importantly, NO DRINKING WHILE YOU ARE THERE!!!!

I average about a beer a month so no drinking won't be a problem. I always try to act professionally and courteously, this would be no exception.

I'm a little worried about the agility test.

You already know my feedback...good luck mate!

The no drinking policy was annoying, but certainly no deal breaker.

I had to throw away 4 very cold, tasty and rather expenisve Samuel Adams...as did my roomie.
Being aware of this policy beforehand would have saved me $10.

    Agility test = breathe

Just keep telling yourself that the whole test and DO it. Otherwise you'll spike your BP and heart rate.

Seriously, I watched a 33 year old Iraqi vet fail his, just as I walked in the room.

I'm 52, I passed. He was in a hell of a lot better shape than I've been in for years.

He was allowed to retest. But still...
