Jlgale I just ETS from the Army. Went to school to get my CDL. I did a physical in the military but it does not cross over to civilian side. Also make sure you fax a copy of your DD-214 to your recuiter your service time and experience may put you in a different pay bracket. Its a few cent more than a normal rookie but more is good. Be sure to have some good references old Commanders, 1SG folks like that. Good luck to you hope this helps.

Stirfry319, Did you do the DOT physical while in the Army or did you do a standard physical? Also what kind of miles did you have on your 348? I have over 70k most of which is while pulling tankers, I am trying to get a ballpark of how much experience would transfer over.

I let the Army doctors do the standard one. And I let Tricare pay for the DOT physical. I have about 89,000 miles logged on my 348.

Went well I guess, I class up on the 4th in Atlanta for regional. I don't care for the recruiter because she never replies to phone call or emails.

I had my PCM do mine, she did the standard physical and she also did the DOT physical. It took me some time to find a PCM that could do it since my unit is filled with flight surgeons.

If it's the same one I've got, amen to that. Out of the Atlanta office, name rhymes with Molina? Won't return calls, voice mail inbox is / was full and had been for over a week.......goes on vacation and says she's going to give me a point of contact while she's gone, but doesn't.....
Pretty poor for someone that's supposed to be recruiting drivers.....if you asked me anyway....
