After a ####### headache of dealing with Prime I decided to get my own CDL and will now be heading to work for the Eastern OTR division of Schneider. I don't want to hear your horror stories or how ###### the trucks are, because everybody has to start somewhere. I'm merely looking for any advice to be given and will be posting my experience. Anybody on here running that certain division?

I run regional out of Ohio. I don't have many complaints at all about SNI. If you have the right attitude and do your job, they can be a great company to work for. The only thing I will tell you about running Eastern OTR is to get ready for some north east driving. You will be in the PA to Maine area, a lot, and NYC to. It isn't that bad up there, but when they get you up there it is hard to get out sometimes.

Good luck, if ya have questions just ask.

They told me "You'll be doing all of your 34 hour resets at home, or the majority" I call ########, any truth to this?

Won't happen all the time. But from my time otr I wouls stay out longer and run off of my 70 without doing a reset fo as long as I could.. you can make more money that way then take a few days off instead of just 34 at home. It is really dictated by freight and where you are in the country at the time.

Whoever told you that is mistaken or you heard wrong because that won't happen. You probably won't need that many 34 hour restarts.

If you are designated OTR, even if eastern, I don't see you doing 34's at home. OTR is OTR and freight will dictate. When I was OTR I didn't do many 34 hour restarts, I just watched my clock and made sure I could roll it. Sure, sometimes I was forced due to loads and freight, but I never was home when I had to do one.
