So, here I am trying to move from my actual Carrier, which is a Private Company hauling ONLY their goods (I am not gonna say their name for privacy purpose). And so, in trying to make this to happen I applied for Schneider the other day, about a week ago. The very next day they sent me an email asking me to call them, which I did. As I called the Lady named on the email, she asked me to be available Tuesday Dec/3 (Today) at 10 am Central Time for an On The Phone Interview. And so, I did.... - At about 10:11 AM she called me; ... and let me tell you, just by the way she addressed me on the phone, I felt like hanging up the phone. Then she said I want to start by your Motor Vehicle Record, can you tell me about these speeding tickets in 2004, another one in 2007, a stop sign ticket in 2008, blah blah blah... I was like, are you serious? I don't have any ticket for nothing in about 5 years? - She said, "Listen, I am not the one in e need of a job here; it is you! So, start talking..." - Yuuppp!! Crazy B....!!! - And so I explained everything!!!

Then she paused and said, "how about this accident in 2008?" - Explanation: I was driving a Straight truck, 26,000 lb in one of those narrow street in Savannah, GA on the center lane to avoid to hit the tree's branch and a SOB tried to cut me off as he passes me, and guess what, he had no time for that, before his lane ended and his rear bumper touched my truck. I didn't see the MF coming, it was too fast, when I get into the brake it was too late. - Any way, not a big of a deal, not serious damage, some scratches... but the LEO that came to the scene gave me a ticket. So, Ms Schneider, after making me to explain all these 10 years of history suddenly just said, "You know, send me some more clarification on my FAX about this accident, maybe a copy of the ticket or something, write some more explanation for me and fax it today.." - I said, "Ok"... As soon as I finished talking to her, I was with my wife on the phone when this person calls me back again, I didn't pick up at this time; but she left me a voice message saying, "I decided, please do not send me anything... We are not gonna hire you. Have a great day.."

All you Schneider Folks, is this for real? I can see now why a lot of folks are complaining about these big Mob Companies...

You have to remember that they get many applications where the applicant has no tickets or accidents on the driving record. This automatically puts you at a disadvantage.

Why would you want to work for those bottom feeders anyway?? You will never be considered anything higher than whale dung to them.

I'd say options are limited with 3 tickets and a preventable accident.

Yeah that makes it tougher. But if you try hard enough you can normally sell yourself to some small company. And if not-the world always needs ditch diggers Judge Smails. Caddy Shack

Can't sell yourself with the insurance companies. OBTW I don't think SNI is a bottom feeder Co. Why don't you pm the op and get him a job, where you work at?

Also remember it's not Schneider that hires you! It's their insurance company that decides if you get hired or not, and that's a fact! All hires must be approved by insurance people, even if the company is "self insured" first, they are the ones who really decide who gets hired.

She's doing you a favor by keeping you away from their 60mph orange turds. You should thank her. If I were you I'd send her a card for christmas.

She’s right, you are the one asking for a job and she was just doing hers.

Trucking companies are required by law to review the last 10 years of your commercial driving record. You will get those questions no matter what trucking company you apply to.

Giving the people you are asking for a job attitude and minimizing anything that they might see as a concern is not going to get you employment with them, no matter what company you are talking about.

There is also a way to be professional in asking for this info during an interview. These recruiters are more often than not the "face" of a company. My e3xperience was pleasant due to the professional attitude of my recruiter. Gave a very good impression for me of this company. Then I started working for them. Badam bump. Hehehe. Overall I have good things to say. Some things I take issue with but I agreed to them wjhen I was hired and can leave anytime I want.
