Question about Georgia pacific acct

    Depending on the account though, the hand unload pay is what makes it worth it. IMO anyway.

    For me, dedicated is where its at. Less problems overall, and support shift is far superior, at least in terms of hold time, etc . Things seem to go much smoother all the way around. Fortunate to be in an area with different accounts that run out of here. Had my choice of a few and have settled into something that is working really well, with home daily at close to 1K a week. working roughly 40-50 hours per week. DBL is easy to work with, other guys on the account are cool(looking your way Jake) , less ripoff with HHG miles. Meeting my goals personally and professionally.

    The Big Island, VA Georgia Pacific DC account... does anyone know about this dedicated account and how it works? They say your home each week for a 34 reset. Is this do able? How much $$$ can one make? What type of miles are there? How far will I travel? Any info would be apprecated.

    I just don't think you would want to run dedicated out of Big Island, VA lol...The route to get in and out sucks, especially with the rolls

    I'll field this one. I've been to the Big Island, Virginia facility a few times and I can tell you from personal experience that this facility is nowhere near the interstate. Plus getting to the facility, you have to go over a few mountains which is very annoying when driving a very heavy load.

    The facility is actually near an Interstate but....... the road to it is restricted so we have to drive around our Elbows twice to get to are EARS and yes the roads are horrific especially at night or bad weather also if it's not a drop and hook wait times can be excruciatingly long cell service stinks no where to eat and the shipper personnel can some times be jack's of all... but it's not to bad considering....LMAO and navigo doesn't go to the plant for anyone who hasn't been there once you cross the bridge and your less than 5 miles DO NOT TAKE THE RIGHT that navigo tells you too.......
