    I do not.

I will go over the truck again in the daylight, just to make sure I didn't miss anything in the dark, but I'm pretty sure there are no chains ;)

Easy first load - pick up a relay at the yard in Gary, drop less than 300 miles away. Already have my next load, 790 total miles! And headed south, to boot!! Woot...

But wait - there's more! 120 miles into the first load, the truck (I haven't named her yet, but Brat is looking good) drops an injector. Called the fine folks at SEM, Mike was very nice & gave me directions to the nearest Freightshaker repair facility. On the way, she dropped another one. The DD15 WILL run on 4 cylinders, but she doesn't much care for that! Some things I can fix...that ain't one of them :biggrin_25512: So, I am sitting somewhere in Illinois, waiting on Support Shift to get me hotel info since Brat is down for at least a day.

So yeah, I do kinda look like that! Lol

And you call yourself a truck driver. You'd have caught those problems before you left the yard if you'd done a proper pretrip. Also if you can't do a total rebuild, on the side of the road, in under 3 hours you don't deserve to share my highway!!!!!!!:biggrin_255:

Now that I've anticpated the supertrucker advice, I feel for you. Sucks to get breakdown pay on your first load. Be sure to push out your NAT and eta on the preassignment. Even money is that it will take more than a day to fix the injectors and you'll lose both your current load and the preplan. No biggie as long as you communicate with Ops then you'll be good. Hope things work out.

Checked with Ops already - they've got no one to cover my loads, so they aren't pulling them. I expected to lose them, too.

I did talk the guys in Express out of a double handful of glad hand grommets, a couple extra turn signal bulbs, a handful of valve stem caps, and a couple of each of the most popular trailer lights (new and old) to carry as spares. Also got a couple gallons of oil, since I *DO* have a leak (they said check the oil daily like you're supposed to, add as necessary, and make sure it's on the list for the next PM). Asking nicely helps sometimes!

I'm working on the 'total rebuild on the side of the road in under 3 hours', but it might take me a week or so! :biggrin_25525: (and can you tell me what to look for so I don't have dropped injectors again???? all the wires are in good shape, in the appropriate places, and connected properly, and there was no evidence of fuel leaks; I dunno what else to look for :biggrin_25511:)

I also checked with them on this - I have no idea what to push it out to, without having any idea on the down time on the truck. She said just update as soon as I know something.

I'm also still in the 'Call me every morning so I can hear your voice' period with my DBL, so I'll be on the phone with her first thing in the morning.
