I'm looking at the account out of nc. Told 100% no touch. But with bad weather in Nc I can't get dbl to call me back. Couple things I don't want a pay cut and I don't want to give up my tractor. Was told every home weekend and only 3 days of driving. Lots of multiple stops. But I can't figure out how they come up with 53k a year. Was told accosoriay pay.

Do you have a black truck?
-
Nope platinum with parksmart

I wonder if they will want you to have a black to match the trailer.

Can't get no answers.

I used to work for a HD dealer. I personally always tried to get the guys in and out quickly. We had one driver who would occasionally be parked outside dealer in morning with the bikes already dropped on the ground just waiting for us to sign for them. I bet there are some dealers out there that are going to be a pain in the butt to get that 53 foot trailer and condo tractor to. Good luck with it.

moosc - I know you're looking at the NC account but I think you run out of the GB division. Last week my DBL said GB isn't allowing any more transfers. That may be one of the reason's you haven't heard back.
Or your DBL doesn't want to lose you.
Or the ops staff has been so overwhelmed by the weather of the last two weeks that one thing pushed out another and they forgot. -
I'm out of Charlotte oc, live about hour from the account.

I saw today that they have upped the "up to" income amount for both team and dedicated but that will be the most you can make over time so you are still going to get paid the starting amount so what is the point in that. I think they are having a hard time getting good applicants on this. Called a few Harley dealers today and asked them if they have loading docks and most don't. One place told me they tie a rope to the forklift and to the pallet and pull until it's at the end of the trailer ! They also have the truck back up to a hill and use ramps to get the forklift on. Sounds like touch freight to me. If you look at the stores from google earth most only have one way in and out so you may have to back in from the street, hope it's not during rush hour. I going to give this some more thought!

Found out will not be carrying complete bikes, only parts and engines to assembly plants. May have an occasional drop off at a dealer but that would have to be at the end of the trailer and the first stop since most dealers don't have docks. I was told it is definitely no touch ! I'm sure it will be sealed and locked to prevent theft. Not sure about the truck color but was told it will have Harley logo's on it. Solo drivers will get more of the dealer drop offs than teams. Drop a loaded and grab an empty, yeah man ! It's through the mid west " the warm sunshine states" ha!ha! They are all getting hammered with snow right now. I am about ready to pull the trigger on this I just hope it wont take long to find a co-driver who is a non smoker and wont trash a truck.
mickimause Thanks this.
