You don't need to fully start the engine. Once the QC loads up, just turn the key to the on position and you should have 90 minutes until it shuts down. Unless your battery is down, in which case you're not using your apu properly - I will be along shortly to take possession of it.

Mine will time out shortly afterwards when just "key-on-ing" it, and I know my batteries aren't the problem, that APU has been running non-stop for the past 28 hours keeping me nice and cool with AC so no reason the batteries would be low. One trick I have is to load up navigo - it seems when you interact with the qualcomm, such as loading navigo, etc,. it will stay on longer than just a normal wake-up.

Oh man I had one in my company truck that did that. If it was just in a light sleep, like it does during the day, it wasn't a problem, but if the truck was off for 3-4 hours, it would do that same thing. POP POP POP POP POP POP POP through the truck speakers for about 6 minutes, then a minute of nothing, then it would FINALLY boot up. I made it a little better by disabling it through the truck speakers and making it "pop" through its own internal speaker which wasn't as loud. Eventually I got used to it but it took me a good 2 weeks to.

It's the starter relay but no quick fix and I don't think ours stops after 6 min but I may just not be able to listen that long. I really get in edge when it happens. We just unplug it for the night because it will start in the middle of the night and that really irritates me. However taking the sound out of the speakers is a great idea. Thanks

That happened to me, same thing, when I went to leave after unloading.

I unhooked the power cord from the box and the clicking stopped. I waited 15 seconds and plugged it back in and my QC worked again.

Does it alarm on local or log time? Cause I am in the Eastern zone right now, but my logs are Central...
