Well that is pdg ( pretty #### good ). LOL.
Did you consider L/p with Schneider? And what made you pick q/c over the other options.? I ask because I am considering the l/p option this fall. (after I use up my 3 weeks vacation).

I did consider it actually but just like qc option more because more home time options because most loads are out and backhaul back, got a 2 year old also because truck will be cheaper and % pay.

I cant send you a msg cause I havn't posted enough. if you want you can e-mail me at dustingreenway1@gmail.com Was orientation still 28-34 days? Is Regional less that OTR?

"Orientation" was really only one day, after that was the training phase and that goes for 2 weeks at the training yd. Do you know yet where you will be sent for training? After training on the yd you go for another 2 weeks on a TEs truck. Then you have another 3 days SQTs, 30 days later 1 day of safetraxs, and another 4 hr class. They are really big on wasting your time and paying pennies for it.

Here is what I was told about OTR versus Regional. You take a .05 pay cut for going regional everything else remains the same. They "punish" you for wanting to be home more.

I started a thread concerning the training process of Schneider. Check it out.

Everyone has told me to bit the bullet and go to work for someone for at least at year. My teacher tell us that driving a tank is scary as hell. And that we should go over the road for a year. I have not been away from my wife at all so I think spending 2 weeks on the road at frist might be to much. I perfer to go Regional. But Regional Van pays very little. So I thought about going tanker. Tankers seem to make good money with Schnieder. And I am a Veteran. So I will get a $1200 check each month for my first year at Schnieder. It would be nice to drive Van and be able to come home every day while in training. But I guess it all depends on the money. I cannot afford to be bringing home $3-400 a week. I need and want to be at $500+ after taxes. So much to think about when trying to find a driving job. I feel like I am joining the military all over again. lol
