Hey firespook, in training, how long did you have to wear the full chemcal suit?
I had to wear the suit one day when I was doing fire watch working in a plant and it liked to have killed me. It was in June and I felt like I was boiling in an oven. -
Well before I went out with my TE none and so far haven't needed to cause out first load which required it got rejected cause tank was to full
-
I have hauled tanks for a couple of years. I am set to go to orientation on the 28th as a lease operator. Big trick in being a tanker yanker is to not get in a rush. Take your time and ask questions of the customer if you are unsure of anything. You will do fine, just take it easy.
harlycharly55 and hal380 Thank this. -
Night plz let me know how it goes I got 1 year contract cause they paid for my school but after I was thinking of becoming a L/O or O/O tanker
-
Sure will do.
-
Well we are at the Keasby OC right now running out of 14 so we are taking our 10 here cause no load yet so let u guys know how it goes tomorrow
-
Dont even think about leasing yet! You have a tremendous about of stuff to learn and skills to develop. This being my opinion. Leasing on as a tanker driver is a different ballgame than what DFO and the other guys are doing
-
I know it is very much different cause what DFO does is not mileage base pay where as tanker is mileage
-
So after sitting for almost 24 hours they send us a work assignment first my TE did has spring training out here so no lay over pay, and second the load is for 11am picking up tomorrow meaning we are definitely going to be here a total of 41 hours
