Like Matt said. Looks like you need to change the areas that you run. Are you trying to stay close to a certain area? Or, are you chasing the money?
You might want to run East, stay a while, then run back. You have a lot to gain my friend.

Wheel start running in the Midwest and pick up your rates which will pick up your profit. Watch your fuel and trip plan to maximize your hours.

Now it sucks coming out, but there are usually some darn good paying loads going into Colorado, but yeah get into the midwest for a bit. The pay can sometimes rival the ne, but is good on a consistent basis. You can find some $2 per mile loads in the midwest on occasion and $1.75 all the time.

No I'm done with the Midwest. Tried it when I started. I'd have had a good week if the truck hadn't had issues. Thanks everyone.

Well, my Grandpa just stroked out last night. I've been offered a decent local job and am thinking of jumping ship after 8 months of roller coaster riding here at Schnieder Choice. Anyone know how bad they will beat me up on walking out on the rest of the lease? its a one year, someones gonna reap the benefits of the 24k$ i've put towards this truck. What happens to the 5k$ of maintainance money and 600$ of Escrow? Thanks.... I am not going to continue being so far from those that need me.

Sorry to hear about your Grandad. That's tough. If you turn the truck in before completing the 1 year lease, as per the contract you signed, Schneider could come after the money you still owe them for the remainder of the lease. Will they? Well, I know one that walked that they didn't come after at all. However, that $5k in the maintenance account and $600 in escrow is money that SFI can deduct from to recoup some (or maybe all) of what you still owe them in order to complete the lease. Honestly, I wouldn't plan on seeing any of that. Unfortunately it's not a walk away lease, so in a situation like yours, however unfortunate, you still owe them the money. I hope the local job works out great for you and will let you be closer to home and spend more time with your family!

thanks you, yes, I had sounded out the SFI rep about leaving a while ago. He was non-commital. Happy trucking, Everyone. If grandpa is lucky, he only has severe dehydration.... but no one is sure yet. We do know that at almost 91 he wont be living by himself anymore.
