Well, I guess I'll start a new thread for my new job as a Choice Lease Operator at Schneider. I'm going to be based out of Portland, Oregon, did my first day of Orientation today, and it went very well. The instructor's name is Dave, who is a very nice guy with a good sense of humor and seems very knowledgable. I think he said he's been with them 22 years.
First day was a conference call with the lease person who talked me through the paperwork and told me where to sign and what everything was, with my Schneider Lease guy Brian sitting in on the conference call.
The folks are very good at what they do, so far I'm impressed with them and the facilites. The OC (Operation Center) is small but very clean, they had a person in cleaning the shower rooms and the bathrooms I went into were immaculately kept up.

We have a small class, one other person who is a company driver coming on, and me. First day we went through the FMCSR training and test, and worked on some other stuff, then went over the Qualcomm MCP200 system learning how to change our workflow to pick up loads and set NAT (Next available time). They were full of good tips.
The 2012 Cascadia that I'm leasing has had a new tire put on the steer as I requested, and the other was in very good shape wiith a lot of tread and can't blame them for not replacing it. The rest of the tires and brakes on the truck are in great shape, and the engine looks like its brand new... beautiful black paint with a very nice metal flake in it that doesn't have a bunch of swirls in it from someone messing with a buffer or brush. Polished wheels all around.
Well thats it. Have a great night, got to get up early to go in for a more intense day ahead.

Well another day at the OC done on training. Did more paperwork, insurance related. Not much else to say except that we had login problems to crossroads, which I called tech support and they repopulated the login. Then the lessons wouldn't load in Chrome browser, I did a bunch of updates then it still wouldn't work. Called the tech people and a nice young lady said to put their http addresses into Internet Exploder (I hate using it) and that would fix it. Then I got a bunch more error messages.
Then I was able to do the lessons but not get credit until someone (who has been doing this for a bit I guess) looks at the total time spent logged into that lesson gives me credit for it in 2-3 days. Hmmm.
Went home and googled, and made sure my Java was up to date, and figured out that you have to do the Configure Java application and add the 3 secure website url's in Java's security site addin page. Now it works and I get credit, except for the first one I did.
I called her back and she thanked me, said she would pass the fix on to the other tech teams. She was very nice though, and I'm happy to help, but I figured out that the lessons use something called xmlhtml to work, and Google Chrome's browser won't do it.
Getting the decal's on the truck tonight, and did my contracts today, back in the morning for more torture ;-) after I finish these last 2 lessons I've been working all evening to make up. All the best people.
