Used tires are not much cheaper than new. Not completely sure on this but when I asked about a used tire the shop guy said they usually replace it with a new one kinda hinting to the fact that SNI won't approve us to buy used through our maintenance account. Don't quote me on that didn't have to go that route so don't know for sure but wouldn't be surprised SNI is bit picky when it comes to buying tires.
No knowledge of self healing tires gonna have to check that out!

Ran that sucker (load) all the way to delivery 550 miles today. Through rain storms, construction zones, CHP traffic break and heavy traffic. Bit unusual! Did not think I was going to make it there today ..geezze. Must be summer traffic kicking in early or something. Seems like a lot of people out yesterday and today.
Haven't got any loads picked yet tomorrow, gonna see what pops up in the morning!
Carry on! -
Sounds like you had a good day

Yep. We had a nice chat..I think he's gonna be looking for something with somewhat fewer wheels as a recreational vehicle sometime soon! I think all the talk about the Tail of the Dragon and bbq joints mighta influenced him a bit

No idea why I'm up so early but glad I was .. The load I was stocking the Board for appeared! Sumner WA to Phoenix AZ..It's about 200 miles away up in WA but there was another load (short high payer) close by that I was watching still available which will put me about 60 miles from my pick up! So I grabbed them both. Not over the top paying loads but pretty decent when you combine the 2. Plus they are both in the 20,000 lb range .. It works for me. Still trying stay in the west to spend time at home and get some more maintenance done on the truck, doctors appt, renew my license and few other things that need attention around here. Also have my niece's graduation coming up in Phoenix and really want to be there for that..
Now I just need the box planners to work there magic .. AND FIND ME AN MT! Last place i delivered had none which was unusual.. Been there many times and they usually stock a few. Saw some trailers there getting unloaded in the doors so probably will head back this morning and see if any are available now. Will see..
