    Weather was good in VA! After Virgina I grabbed a load out to Ohio, hit little snow there but not to bad. Dropped that load and then Deadhead 79 miles to grab my next load heading to Dallas TX.

    One of my headlights keeps going out... Have replaced the bulb and it still goes out, so now narrowing it down to be a short in the wiring or plug. Have an idea to checkout the plug this morning and see if the little metal connectors inside the plug are loose and maybe they can be tighten up and that be the end of it.. If not, I can stop at Memphis OC and see if they can correct the problem..

    Had a very good week last week. Ran less miles and made more money.. Love when that happens!! This month marks my 2 year anniversary as IC .. Still the best choice I ever made..:biggrin_25525:

    Truck on brothers and sisters!

    Also check for moisture getting into the housing. Moisture will cause the problem exactly as you describe. It could either be a small hairline crack in the plastic surround or a bad seal where the bulb seats into the unit allowing water in. Doesn't take much to cause a bulb to fail.

    Thanks! did that as well, but so far it does seem like it is the little metal connects. Got it working and will get a more permanent fix once in the shop.

    Currently running across the Midwest, picked a load out of OK to Denver PA. After delivering in Dallas TX on Saturday grabbed a short cheap load to AR, it was cheap but at least it was light and it was easy drop & hook relay that put me into a position to grab this nice load to PA.

    Had some good runs across back and forth to Midwest, south and mostly to the South East then back to Midwest then South West. Suckered myself into taking this PA load cause it pays pretty good and light weight 7700lb. Normally wouldn't go into that area right now because of weather but looks like it will be good by the the time I get there. Also have 3 more loads booked after that inching my way south on some high paying loads. By Thursday should be in NC..

    FYI,

    Currently I use www.weather.com and click on forcast tab then national forcast ..It runs several videos in there including 3 day and weekly planner. Personally I enjoy the challenge of routing around the bad weather and still make decent money..:biggrin_255: When picking loads after watching the weekly planner it is amazing how accurately you can run in and out out areas behind a storm or before it and be gone by the time #### hits fan. Not always perfectly but gets it done the way I like to do it. I can deal with driving in snow but prefer not to.. lol. Have done this ever sense I became IC. Love it!

    Well Balls! After all that talk about routing around the weather pretty sure just spent most of the last 2 weeks driving in the snow. All it took was one lousy customer to hold me up and that put me right in the middle of a storm.. Can't win them all! Also lost my load going home then and had to reroute myself into areas that are getting hammered with the fluffy white stuff.

    Currently in Denver CO.. Picking up the load going home today ..Suppose to warm up today so should be able to run over the Rockies without chains and get on down to "Shaky Town"

    Still should be a decent pay week at least.. I got additional detention pay too for the hold up at that customer, 16 hours and another one after that took 10 hours to get me loaded..

    What a week!

    Yep sure thing it was all clear! Went through the Rockies and now down in Shaky Town (Los Angeles). Picking up one more short load that drops right close by the house (Perfect!!) then off at home for a few days.

    Keep it Truck-en!

    So for nearly two days of detention, you got a whopping 120 bucks.
    At least you won't have to worry about getting robbed by thieves in 'Shaky Town';
    Schneider beat them to it!

    If you're going to troll at least use accurate math. Where did you pull 120 bucks from, out of your posterior? 16 hours detention is $300, 10 hours is $75. Can you add that up?
