That is one of my favorite drives. I loved to park in the pull off right past Page and wake up to that gorgeous valley,,,,well before the road tried to fall off the mountain. Now I like to park at the in on the other 89 and then come down the mountain in the morning.

    Yes like that area too!

Today tho, not so great! US 89 has alternate route now around some partial closure, I think.. Had been this way before but something was different. Anyway ended up being a long day through snow storm (believe or not), 27 degree's, 50 mph cross winds, rain, narrow roads, sleet, small towns, 30 mph curves, villages... on and on ...

    Made delivery in Utah!

    Glad it is over!

Gawd! Feel like I entered a time warp and went back to February 2014.. Old man winter is still hanging about!

    Just one of those days!

They really need that water down there too, but Man, the weather is Jacked. I'm glad that I still have my chains.

I hear ya on that! Almost put my chains on yesterday to get through the pass I was on in AZ .. Don't even know what they call it but was in middle no-where. Coming down from Salt Lake today was much better. Did see them cleaning up a couple crashes tho on the Summit I 15, must of been from yesterday.

Heading to Fontana, will be delivering tomorrow and then grabbing load to Phoenix.

Delivered in Fontana and live loaded in San Bernardino. Now headed to Phoenix with 8,000 lb of Pork Grinds! Lots of porky pork.. Don't eat the stuff myself. Pays good and light weight so that's always good!

Spent the night here (pics below) the other day in Arizona, a very tranquil spot, nice breeze, about 70 degrees and extremely quit. Love it when get a chance to stop like this to just enjoy the scene and get some quality sleep out in the raw nature. ;)

Now parked at one of my favorite places here in Indio CA at 24 hr fitness.. Gonna get in a short workout, jump in the jacuzzi for a few and then grab dinner at Chinese place across the parking lot.

    Carry on!

You talking about AZ 20? If so, it's a great 2-lane that adds hardly anything to the route. My GPS didn't want to run me through there for some odd reason...road may be too new. When I ran it Sunday, it was gorgeous.

No, looking at the map now it was 89A. Alternate route that splits off 89 (closed for whatever reason) up near page AZ. Next time I will just take 93 to Vegas and then head up I-15 to Utah. Longer but much quicker!

Now again looking at the map what I should of done was take 89T way before that closure and 89A .. No clue why qualcom routed me that way, usually in past it was up the 89T I think. Oh well!
