Calling out the COLOSTOMY BAGS

I picked up a trailer today..right turn lamp not working.

Wire corroded through..I'm sure it's been that way for awhile.

Rewired it and taped it with elec and duct.

##### happens.

 

i also dont understand how you can mark a trailer oos but list it with no defects

 

Only the shop can list OOS. Driver doesn't see it till the get the email. Sni oos can be a dot INSP, somthing u wrote up and called in about. Some older trailers tail light panel rust out its oos, we never know till u call asking about. And some times it was fixed and not updated in the computer.

 

People don't care. I picked up an empty from Victory packaging in SLC and noticed when I did my pretrip that someone had obviously cut through somewhere and had caught a decorative boulder with BOTH tandem on the trailer. Both from brake cannisters were banged to heck and the front axle was scrapped up bad. The drivers side skirt was damaged where they went over the rock.The 2 back brake cannisters were damaged and the axle scrapped up. Everything worked, but had a few air leaks. I get it back to the SLC OC and drop it and red tag it. I take pictures of all the damage and park my truck and walk inside to talk to the shop Manager about it. While we are talking(him swearing) a truck flies out the front gate and covers the whole north side of the OC in Dust. We both both glare at the driver and go back to chatting. He then goes to pull it up on the PC to see which Driver had it where, and low and behold, that was the trailer tha just left. I walk over to where I had parked it and there is the tag laying on the ground.
The SHop guy was so mad, He was going to go chase him in the service truck.

I just never fails to amaze me how people just will be willing to throw their CDL and their career out the window, to save a few minutes to find or fix a trailer.

 

probably never updated. i didnt find nay thing wrong with it when i got it or dropped it. i wouldnt even care rolling with it for a few days but this shiny 13xxxx is pertty

Don't try that a OSS if there is any notes guard won't let us out. I hooked to a trailer at Walmart couple days ago off course OSS. Called because I didnt see any thing. Well it was red flagged the taillight panels where rusted away. I didn't think about it since lights worked and where in proper location. That's life.

 

only place i wouldnt darre take an oos trailer is at an oc. god forbid you have to back up and search for another perfectly fine trailer

 

Picked up a trailer and the brake chamber was cage. I was shock did he really cage it and drove it like that?
