I will cover this but the short answer is Neither really .. What you have to do is find the fuel tax rates for the states you are traveling in and see who has the cheapest fuel AFTER TAXES .. By doing this you are still buying the CHEAPEST FUEL .. But over paying in taxes .. Therefore the method of buying per state is not a correct method of paying less IFTA . If you buy in states with higher fuel taxes and actually cheaper fuel you will end up with a IFTA tax credit or owe nothing ..

A few bad states to buy fuel ... Even though the pump price in some are rock bottom cheap ... IN , VA, SC & KY ( in KY it's bad cause you only receive 10% of the KYU tax as a IFTA credit . Those are just a few to give a brief idea .. I'll give a list of good and bad places to fuel . If you buy in IN for instance you have to give your DOT number cause they charge the company back etc .. Just because the fuel is cheap POST TAX does not mean it's your best but ..

In some cases it's a rob peter to pay Paul . You will buy it cheaper on next settlement but you pay it back latter in Fuel Taxes .. So the discount or cheaper fuel washes out or ends up costing you more in the end come FT time .

    More to come on this

I will cover this more in depth and show how it works

    good topic

Just thought I would add..Oregon is probably one of the worst states to fuel in with fairly low fuel cost but no tax.. Illinois is one of the best with low fuel cost and high tax and it still has a decent lower range price at the pump.

Does Schneider pay the fuel tax or is the contractor responsible for the fuel taxes?

I hope this one goes better than the last one. Shorter leash this time, so let's keep it civil and respectful, please.

All of you guys have a safe trip today.

Sometimes as a leader you have to stand alone! And even in the civilian world
you'll have snipers, so stay on point and carry on. Also remember they want you
