Ahh yes the wonderful Northeast Region

Todays adventure through the windshield glass..driving the backroads of Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Just for the laughs I choose to go cross country from westfield to new milford..not bad really.
Except for the construction in every small village(not towns mind you)..and when they do a project a cop is there.
Sometimes a statey sometimes yokel.
So you get these nice looks..you know the type "yeah I'd like to pull him over and see what's going on".
And the crewswho set up the work space..priceless!
Cones 3 feet into the 1 lane open..so I'm trying not to run them down..but after the fourth"village" I say whatever..let's see what happens.
So I kill a few here and there..mind you at 10 mph or less.
In my last "zone" I'm taking out a row because I can't help it..REALLY I tried to avoid them.
So here comes the statey..signals me to stop..yessir says innocent me.
"Do you realize your running over traffic devices?"
Can't help it officer(not sir he's younger than me)..he just grins and says "move along".
But he has this look like..I'd like to give this guy a choice between the following:

Pistol whipping
Tasing
Curb Stomp

Personally I'd take the tazer..never had that and it could be fun..right?!

So anyways that was the excitement for the day.
Once I hit 84 westbound the fun was gone..because as we all know once in Pennsylvania it's like being on back roads somewhere nice.

So to answer a few questions:

Yes Philly counts..ever been stuck on 476 or 295 during the blitz of rush hour?
Yup jersey is a cesspool/black hole..except for parts down south towards the shore.
Parking is something you figure out pretty quick..either drive through or have a hide somewhere.

So that's it for today..tomorrow is a breeze.
Upstate NY..I can enjoy the scenery.

*yes TennMan that's what I heard as well..3 guys on the side of the road with a broken down cement mixer...flatbed came by and mixed it up with the 1 4wheeler and hit the guys and killed them..pretty bad day*

So I will be heading to the Buffalo area tomorrow..nice light load coming out of Frito-Lay in Aberdeen MD.
No rush as I'm padding last weeks revenue stream.

All fairly light loads this week..the heaviest will be just shy of 30K.
Should be ok..avoiding the major arteries as traffic will be a joy since the holiday is upon us.
