Tuesday-Friday..double booked on all the days.
2400 miles roughly..$1.72/on all miles.
Now remember I still have room on Friday morning and next Mondays end of pay period.
2 loads are over 37K.
It's an ugly week going into high congestion areas for more than half the runs.
But that's where the money is..so that's where I go.
Ahh yes the wonderful Northeast Region

Have you noticed it's better to book ahead of time? so the good loads don't get booked before you?
OR that next day/same day loads pay better because they need to be moved? -
Book a head..waiting for a load to drop or show up in a certain area is suicide IMO.
If you like to wait..feel free.
Me..I don't like to wait..I like running hard and bouncing up against my 11/14.
Not really but it just happens that way sometimes.
As for empties..nope I don't sweat it at all.
Sure it can be frustrating but you have to be smart when it comes to empties and try to plan your loads with some wiggle room in them.
Riding down the road looking at the local scenery is nice..but I keep a extra eye out for the "pumpkin patches". -
Update:
My week didn't go as planned..stopped at the KW dealership in Carlisle Tuesday morning.
Long story short..everything fixed that was on my list but it took a while.
1. Water Leak on drivers side.
2. Wingman collision avoidance(God I hate this POS).
3. Fuel Tanks not equalizing.
4. Hood strut leaking oil
Found out I have the arctic package on my Tripak already..amazing what you learn from talking to a Thermo King salesman.
I had to drop a few loads but it all worked out.
Revenue is down but so is Fuel usage..went from 3 heavy loads to 1.
Holiday week will be light for me..running Monday-Wednesday.
May work Friday depending on what the load board looks like.
I have realized a few things this week:
I hate Hartford CT..I'd rather run into Brooklyn.
Night time running blows..throws my sleep patterns off but is interesting due to the lower rate of traffic and abundance of "characters".
Philly can be fun even at rush hour..depending on what route you take in.
Coast to Coast radio has way too many commercials but is entertaining.
