With the amount of kingpin locks on MT trailers I see at OCs I think some already stole your idea :biggrin_2559:

If you see trailers kingpin'd at OCs they are either high value loads, or if they are like 15XXXX trailers they are new trailers that aren't in the system yet. Most drivers are too lazy to drop their empty, kingpin it, and leave. If they wanna hang on to their empty they just leave their tractor connected in the front row parking and go home for a week LOL.

no they were all empty trailers with a kingpin lock over 10 of them I counted at Carlisle when I was there.
I open the doors and got excited each time until I walked up front and then it was :biggrin_25510:

In a situation like that write down some trailer numbers and go talk to the shop. Chances are they have a lock on them for a reason, maintenance, being sold, brand new trailer, etc. If there is no legitimate reason for it to have a lock on it the shop will remove it and you can take it.

well I found it odd there was ZERO empty trailers without a king pin lock on them.
I found one the next morning and as I was hooking up to it two others drivers saw me and were jealous.
