So I'll finally run into you somewhere..I'll keep an eye open.

CT is horrible until you get past Hartford then it's not a big deal.
I avoid the southern part near 95 like the plague..it's been under construction for 12 years.

I ran over the bridge on 84 on Thursday..1 lane each way..prepping for the closure.

Always fun up here and now you live in it..LOL!

    Enjoy.

Solid day today. Left Tunkhannock this morning and took I-84 over to Plainfield CT. Took 691 to 91 to get around the I-84 closure. No biggie. Stopped in New Milford and grabbed my load going to Pittston. Hit some heavy traffic on I-84 at the NY/PA line, where they are rebuilding the two bridges there. Four mile backup but only took about 15 minutes to get through it, other than that was a smooth ride here to Pittston, where I dropped my load and bob-tailed over to the TS. My load picks up right here in Pittston in the morning and goes to MA outside of Boston for a live unload Mon Morning. Prepared to hit much more traffic tomorrow going across I-84, we'll see how it goes!

Kept my speed between 60-65 today and am currently getting 7.9 mpg. Loads were 14k and 28k.

Truck threw up the check engine light and mil light again today, hadn't seen those for a couple of weeks, probably thought I was getting complacent! Seems to happen after the truck sits for a while, like the three days I just had off. Check engine light went back off eventually, expect mil light to reset once a regen is done, this is what it normally does. Still think I have a sensor going bad somewhere.

    Guess that's all for now.....

Late start to the day today as my load in Pittston was not ready until 11 am. Drove the six hours straight to SE of Boston where I am sitting outside the customer for my 5 am live unload. Took 87 to 90 today to avoid 84. Traffic on the Mass Pike was heavy but not too bad.
7.7 mpg with 30k in the box. Kept my speed between 60-65.

Had a load cancel on me today that I was picking up on Tues morning, had to scramble to find another load to fill in the gap that created in my load sequence, but I managed it. I am planned out thru Thurs when I go home for the 3 day holiday weekend. Just don't want to deal with all the traffic.

    Stay frosty......

You can get around the backup in NY by hopping on US-6, then getting back on I-84 just before the border. It's 2 lane with a pretty steep downgrade and curves, but it moves a lot quicker than the interstate.
