And so life in the great NorthEast begins!

You can check out my previous adventures by clicking here: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...choice-program-west-coast-company-driver.html

Back on the road today after three days off after the big move. Picked up my load in Tunkhannock PA that is going to CT. Spending the night at the Schneider yard here at P&G (well, really close to it!) Not too bad, no complaints.

Tmrw will be going to CT then turning around and coming back to Pittston to pick up a load going to MA. Going to keep the speed down this time out and see what is what. Gonna try some new things and experiment a little with different loads and such to see what I can figure out.

Anyway, we'll see what is what. Still have one more move to make, about an hour from our current home to our new home. That will happen hopefully next month, then we plan to stay there until we die! Tired of moving, especially cross-country.

    Later.......................

I'll be watching this thread. I've got a preplanned load picking up in Tunk on Monday AM, with a delivery appt. in Brooklyn for 10am. My company is based in Scranton, and I live in Pittston.

edit: The fact that the P&G yard has a Tunkhannock address but is closer to Meshoppen than it is to Tunkhannock means that companies paying HHG miles can reach into the driver's pocket and grab 19 miles worth of pay for themselves on a round trip. Not to mention that the speed limit averages less than 40 mph between the P&G distribution center and the closest interstate - I-81 (27 miles, 40 minutes each way). Really isn't good for those on mileage pay.

Guess it's a good thing that you can avoid it by taking 891 to 91, huh?
