I have a 2014 Evo and like Tennman's, it's a non governed company spec'd truck with that dang onguard system with a diesel apu. It had 27k on it when I got it a little over 2 months ago and now has 50k. Have not had any problems with the truck so far[knock on wood] did have my apu worked on within the first 3 weeks I had it. Just a software bug in it. Specs on mine is Detroit DD15, 10 spd, 2:64 gear ratio and I avg. about 7.5 mpg with quite a bit of light loads with a few 40k loads sprinkled in, but I'm working on the mpg because I run 65 mph minimum and every once in awhile 75. 8 mpg plus is not hard to get in these trucks, but they are nothing special, just a cascadia, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. I may upgrade at the end of the year, but then again I may keep it. Still have 10 months to worry about that.

They are good trucks, just no bells and whistles. All that doesn't pay the bills lol.

You don't need an expensive truck to start out with. I have a '06 international 9400 automatic, no bells or whistle. I treat my truck as a work truck. I keep it clean an get the maintenance done. I have no fridge, TV , CB, or APU.

If you are looking to purchase eventually do yourself a favor and buy a pre dpf engine! Save yourselfs the money and headaches. If you can, get a pre egr engine. Realize, you may not be able to pease onto Schneider with an older setup.

The only problem with a non C.A.R.B compliant truck is the North East region states are already trying to copy CA with it's laws and a non compliant truck can't go into CA and soon it'll be that way in the North East and that's where the money is in the North East.

I try to stay away from there. The fuel costs too much and too much traffic.
