OP, can I ask how your relationship is with your DBL? In general, how is your attitude when calling in for whatever reason?

Youre going to get equipment based on the mileage of your current truck and how productively are as a driver, your experience, and your tenure at Schneider. I have been here just shy of a year. I have 9 years experience. I'm in the top 5 in miles in my oc almost every month. I stay out for 2-3 months. I dont complain unless I get put running locals in Chicago for a week or get stuck for a week doing 300 miles days.the point being, I'm a proven asset. I make Schneider alot of money. I went through 2 horrid trucks with 560k on them both and dealt with black trucks in the heat.
A week ago they handed me the keys to white Cascadia with 2000 miles on it. They dont want me to quit.
Buy a new mattress and if the lights are too harsh for you, then I dont know what to tell you, other than sit in a way where the bulb isnt directly hitting your eyes.91B20H8, drvrtech77, skyviper73 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Unless the truck is a outright safety hazard and so dirty on the inside that it's a health hazard(beyond normal dirtiness)..what's the problem??...go to truckmattress.com... You can find a reasonably priced truck mattress there...I think there's more to this story...

Dude im in a 2010 International Prostar with 593k miles. Last time I went home put it in shop for 15 things. It runs, I just did a 2800+ round trip from terra haute in to Brownsville TX and back. Be grateful that you are working in thus economy. I have no room for fridge. The CB antenna is broke no storage for clothes, had to put half my stuff in my car at the terminal, and my wife rides with me all the time. You think you got it rough I'll take your Freightliner any day of the week. Especially if it had a DD15. You know what I said about my truck to my dm, nothing, just where you sending me next.

I've been with Schneider 3 1/2 years all they've done is put me in inferior equipment. Would like an "upgrade" to a Cascadia but they keep putting me in POS Columbia gliders. If I get fed up with it I'll just go elsewhere or lease/buy something. At this point I'm about ready to move on but I really don't want to. And PS, your chances of getting a T680 are slim to none. There might be like 300 of them on the company side between 12000+ drivers

Go back to the T680 you had with what I would presume to be Swift. Did you ask for a different truck. Btw, when I started I was 325 pounds in a Freightliner and now an International. I am down to 260 pounds. I can live a fit lifestyle in those trucks, just gotta use your brain.

Dude my first OTR job was with Midwestern Distribution in 79' when COE's ruled. Got stuck with a trainer in a "dollar truck", Freightliner with a Cummins 290. A/C not working, no stereo, passenger side jump seat. Try sleeping in that! You guys just starting out don't know how good you got it. Just look at some pics of the COE's from the 50's and 60's and imagine driving that on a Westcoast turnaround!
bigkev1115 Thanks this. -
He says he not full time otr but he wants a nicer truck. Time for him to move on.
