Now when you have a load going from chicago to dallas, you can just make a quick stop off in vegas to do a little gambling and still make your bonus. Just make sure to take i40 and avoid the mountains. The new bonus system is just swell.

Nah. If I were a gambler I'd rather do it in Atlantic City. That said I still try and keep my OOR in check just because I see no point in driving miles I'm not getting paid for.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I took 59. There are 28 stoplights, 3 stop signs/yield intersections, and 5 school zones. Time was about 10 hours.

It's monitored just like total miles per day, dead head vs paid miles and a host of other things. OOR won't make the Safety Manager of your division cranky so as long as you're following SNI's THREE COMMANDMENTS - Be Safe, Be Legal, and Be Where You Say You'll Be When You Say You'll Be There - I doubt a DBL will make an issue of it.

Obvious I was just being a smart ###, but reality is obvious. They put in idle just in time for summer so they can screw as many people as possible out of their bonus. It's been a cool summer though so Lofgren's sneaky little strategy probably will fail.

We run extra miles we don't get paid for all the time. I rather run a few extra easy miles, with in reason, than take a short cut with a bunch of turns and stop lights. I figure the miles are gonna be short anyways, may as well make it easy for myself.

We call it truck driving for a reason. To each there own, but a truck can survive off the interstate.

Finally, someone who appreciates the street tacos!! I love Fuel City, all truck stops should have tacos.
