Starting 18 Day Orientation In Atlanta Next Week

Back at the Atlanta OC last night. My TE was one cool dude. His patience with stupid stuff was amazing, and I don't mean my stupid stuff, he put me at ease in the first hour, we got along like two friends. If Schneider had 50 like him, they would turn a whole lot of safe drivers loose out on the road even with the short training process. In the Schneider chat room, I've been reading about all the srewy pickup/delivery times coming from the planners this week. We had them all week long too. Absolutely impossible tasks, and nobody in charge seemed to noticed a thing. When the TE called his dbl it went something like, "you mean you can't make it from BF Indiana to Atlanta in eight hours"? "Oh, I see, you have already used up your 14". "Well we'll get you an open delivery date". At which, we had to wait six hours for a live unload. Makes me wonder. Did everyone go on vacation this week? What kind of lunacy am I getting myself into? I would expect dumb stuff a few times a week, but all week long for me and my TE, and a whole lot of the same for you expierienced guys? WTF is going on? Oh well, right now I am alone in the fabulous Econolodge in Conley Ga. trying to catch up on sleep until Monday morning for week 3 training. Stay safe out there.
