SNI recruiter is claiming I will average 2500 miles/week. This is for a Western Regional gig out of Arizona. I'm not falling for it.
Why do all recruiters give me that 2500 mile/week BS guarantee?

What would you believe?
It is a silly question to ask a recruiter...
the best source is other drivers...you should go to a truck stop and talk to several drivers from the company you are looking at.
find out specifics about how they run..where they run and so on...
recruiters are one step below used car salesmen...buy at your own riskMarky84 Thanks this. -

If you slack off you won't make 2500 a week. If you push your dispatcher and demand miles, there's no reason you shouldn't get 2850-3000 in any 7 day period. Of course when you first start you won't get as many miles because you're new and still learning the job. But once you get the hang of things the numbers above are attainable is you work hard

2500 miles a week is very attainable if you don't slack off. Pushing your DBL, so the planers keep you busy is the key. My first 7 days out with SNI, I got 2949 miles. That was 2 week ago. So it can be done.

recruiters are the same as used car salesmen,,they get paid by the numbers ,,they don't. I had a company that wanted to lease me on years ago,,told me that there top 10% earned $200K a year,,asked them to send me the dispatch sheets for their top five drivers for the last 2 months,,back out the drivers but wanted to see where the loads went an how much the trucks were paid,,never heard a word back from them
90% of the revenue is great but not when the loads or short or the rate is in the dirt,,
First thing to look at is their carrier safety record,,next go to ripoffreport.com then see what the haul. ask what their driver turn over rate is,.if the railroad hauls their freight,,the company hires and trains rookies generally their freight and wages are cheap,,not always but most of the time,, Good companies seldom advertise for drivers,,private carriers are better than OTR freight companies,,Small carriers with dressed out trucks most times pay drivers less so the owner can stand back and admire is gleaming fleet at the drivers expense,, Met a lot of drivers that bragged about the fancy truck they we driving and then tell me that they made only 33cnts/mile..Give me on old B-Model Mack and show me the money, -
Just ask them to put it in writing
Then see how long the guarantee last -
here is one for you,,at the Vegas truck show Landstart has a recruiters booth,,they show several high dollar flat, step and Van loads on their computer load board to O/Os thinking of leasing on,,They say see "Landstar " has great paying loads,,they are Ghost loads..Loads that don't exist..

2500 is easily attainable. If your company has a max log speed of 63 mph, you can run 690 miles per day inthe 11 hours. Been with Gully for a while now, only weeks that haven't been 2200+ were short weeks, or some of the weeks last winter when it just wasn't feasible (smart or safe, your choice) to try to run that hard. As said above, ask other drivers with your outfit. They'll give you the straight dope.
