I found the following in an article I was reading today and I'm wondering what the difference is between the two databases. "Freightplace Database" versus "IC Choice Load Board"
The article says, "Schneider Nationals Transportation Management posts loads on its FreightPlace database, which can be accessed by outside owner-operators. Another freight subset, IC Choice, is available to an estimated 300 contractors who are leased to Schneider and dispatch their own freight. Most are paid a percentage of revenue on each load, says Erin Van Zeeland, senior vice president and general manager of STM. They know what theyre compensated on, and they will make decisions for their business based on loads out there.
Does this mean "Freightplace" is for owner-operators ONLY and "IC Choice" is for leased contractors ONLY? Does Freightbase pay more? Does it also pay a percentage of revenue on each load like IC Choice? If so, what percentage? Has anyone done a comparison of running your own authority and accessing "Freightplace" versus leasing onto Schneider and running IC Choice?

Doubt u can run the other board as a choice.
knuckledragger Thanks this. -
The other board is SNI acting as broker to outside trucking companies.

Freight Place is for third party carriers who Have their Own Authority as well as Trailers and no connection to SNI. Choice is for contractors to SNI and use their Authority and Trailers.

Maybe some loads on Freight Place might be loaded into SNI trailers but very few.
