lol no my monthly living expenses aren't too high, I pay more on my internet and cell phone than I do on my house payment and my credit is about 700.
I've been pondering just getting a used Prostar with lone mountain if they keep me hanging

If you do go that route make sure it doesn't have the maxxforce engine!

    THIS!

I have owned 2 Prostars in my time as a O/O my first one was a Maxxforce, I got it for a killer deal from International at 27k Miles and that truck ran awesome up until about 108k. Then it blew a seal which filled the turbo with oil and lead to a run away engine ended up having to have a COMPLETE engine put in it. then at 65k on the new motor it lost EGR cooler, Fan Clutch, and blew the High P Turbo. After that was fixed 25k Later I lost injectors 2 and 3 after those were replaced It thur a rod thur the side of the engine. Now on engine #3 all with in 220k on the truck.. needless to say that P.O.S. was traded in as quick as possible. There is a Reason you can find a 100k maxxforce prostar with all the bells and whistles for 40k.

Now my 2nd one was a Cummins version. Bought it from Knight this time around so it was abused for 300k of its life. After I got it about a year ago I have pretty much put my time and sweat into making it a decent truck again. It runs strong pulls hard and the cummins tech's here in Boise are 2nd to none. With all the work done to the truck I feel its a solid truck that can go far and worth the money to keep it on the road for as long as I can.

Short of the story.. stay the hell away from Maxxforce they cant hold value and they will bankrupt you as a O/O.

Ugh.... I swear I'm doing more live loads than drop and hooks at places that are supposed to be drop and hook. Oh well, comes with the territory, and I'm making money, but it's just frustrating, because I try to manage time very carefully and this is all factored in when I try building my work week. Hope everybody is staying safe out there!

not sure what you mean by that. ... If you're meaning it's just people with nothing better to say, by all means prove everybody wrong. I don't bash anything without reason though. I was approved ona late model, low mileage international with 0 down, from an international dealership and I wouldn't touch it because it had a maxxforce engine. Internationals stock is actually rising again because some of the navistar engines are falling off of warranty.

I wouldn't bank my business on a maxxforce at all. Look at what fleets by as the proof. Not many fleets are still buying prostars with the maxxforce engine. If they are buying them it's because they are really cheap. Kinda like a disposable camera
