I'm done with this place. Every ****ing time they manage to find one reason or another to act like total incompetent idiots.

One time they refused my trailer because it had a line of snow in it from when it was snowing out and I closed the door after picking the empty up. The lady would not let me take 15 seconds with my glove to push the line of snow out of the trailer. She told me I had to go down to the truckstop down the street, push the snow out there, and come back. It's not like I had a trailer to sweep out. It was literally a line of snow. It was not melted it was 20 ****ing degrees below zero and would not cause a problem.

Another time, the load that was supposed to be ready 8 hours earlier was not. As usual I tried to get some information about how to call, give me a name, a number, etc., so that I could tell customer service what was going on and who they could reach. Of course I get the massive runaround and treated like crap when all I'm trying to do is get a contact that SNI could call to figure out what was going on. It took 20 minutes of back and fourth with SNI and the slob of a gate guard, with me stuck in the middle of it, to figure anything out.

TODAY, GUESS WHAT, THEY SUCK **** AS USUAL.

I delivered my load earlier today to another customer. It rained cats and dogs for 30 seconds while I was at the inbound gate and then stopped. As with about 50% of the customers that we deal with, the doors are always left open on the empty trailers and sometimes a little rain comes in. No big deal, I have NEVER had a problem with this ANYWHERE I go. Since it had JUST rained on it, what little that landed in the trailer was just beaded on top of the boards and I pushed it out with my broom. I swept out the trailer and some of the dust soaked up the water on the way out, and by the time I got to the gate the dry spots were already starting to show up.

So I get to Whirlpool to pick up the load and she opens the trailer and is touching the floor of the trailer with her GLOVED HAND and tells me they can't take it. I show her how much it has already dried in the last 30 minutes since I picked it up, and that no matter where I push on the dark spots of the floor of the trailer no moisture comes up. I also offer that by the time this trailer gets it's number called on to be put in the dock it will be dry.

She still refuses to take it. I just shake my head, get in my truck and drive off.

    ****. WHIRLPOOL.

Not to mention the fact that BY THE TIME THE HEAT FROM THE BUILDING AND THE ENGINE FAN FROM THE FORKLIFT RUN OVER THE FLOOR OF THIS TRAILER ON THE WAY TO THE FRONT, BY THE TIME THEY GET TO THE BACK IT WILL BE THE SAHARA DESERT.

AND YES, LETS REMEMBER THAT WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT LOADING THE TRAILER WITH SOME COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

NO WE'RE LOADING IT WITH ****ING APPLIANCES THAT WILL BE USED IN A KITCHEN OR A BATHROOM THAT WILL DEAL WITH WATER AND MOISTURE ON A DAILY BASIS

    ****

NO ROOM LEFT AT THE ONE TRUCK STOP IN TOWN SO GOD KNOWS I'VE GOTTA GO 30 MILES IN THE WRONG DIRECTION JUST TO PARK FOR THE NIGHT BECAUSE THAT CRAPHOLE OF A TOWN HAS NO PLACE TO PARK AND GOD KNOWS WHIRLPOOL WON'T LET ME PARK IN ONE OF THE 15 DROPLOTS SURROUNDING THEIR BUILDING

If it weren't for the fact that that probably 75% of the people who live in that town are employed at that plant and it keeps them all fed I'd hope for that plant to go under and get wiped off the face of the planet. Their appliances aren't worth a crap anyway.

I guess I'm just gonna sit here and steam about it all night and go back in the morning and pick up the load because there isn't anything else that I want to take. Another part of me wants to tell them to go **** themselves but what will they care it won't make a bit of a difference to Whirpool if DFO doesn't pick up their load.

**** places like this piss me off.

I'd ask to speak to a supervisor and if that didn't work, drop anchor right there at the gate and BT out.

That happen to me my first time going there. They will not let you sweep out truck on there property. I had to go to that Shizzy truck stop up the road, to sweep trl out. Now SNI put sweeping out trl in the remarks.

That won't work either. Whirlpool is union and the management is running scared. I was at a different Whirlpool plant and truck drivers weren't allowed to use the rest rooms or vending machines unless they showed a union card. We were told we could use the restroom at a nearby gas station, but as soon as we walked through the gate to get there, our appointment would be cancelled. I was picking up a load of refrigerators and Magnavox televisions. Because the TV's weren't union made, the Whirlpool employees would hold the box chest high and drop it on the dock, then load it on the trailer. Lousy experience with a lousy company.

I feel your pain DFO. You ever run into the scam at some of these shippers where they want you to take the van down the street to have it blown out with air? Come to find out it's the gate guards cousin with an air compressor and a cheap nozzle wand. He jumps in the back, pretends to blow all the dust out, then demands $50 or more...

And to think, I paid for this CDL...

Here's a cure for that, get a bottle, fill it up, let it loose in one of the empty trailers getting ready to be loaded. I'd like to see the guard touch that and get curious and do the sniff test hehehe!

Just by that picture yep still wet. They have policy to abide by. Yeay it sucks but there rules. I've delt with plenty of asszhole places that are like that. Had one even though the trailer was swept they weren't happy so they pulled out the shop vac. Had to get every nook n cranny took a hour to vacuum it. Yes it sucks because u as a ic it affects you more. But the more your out here you'll learn which customers u can get away with stuff and which ones u can't.
