Drop yards

The Cedar Rapids Yard is a private lot not owned by the company. It's owned by a truck/trailer repair shop. It's easy to find once you've been there, but it can have limited parking because of all the wrecked trailers from other carriers. If I was in my truck I'd provide you with the location ID, but I'm at home now.

 

Kenworth#1, I will be moving to Campbell and retiring. I am looking at getting into trucking and was worried about buying a home in Clarksville area and not having a place to park truck and trailer. I see your statement above. Please advise how that would work/cost after i would get permission from my company etc.

Spokane WA? I'm 99% sure there isn't one. Only one in Washington is in Sumner. Used to be one in Seattle on the property of a different company but im not sure if it's still open

 

I know this is a little late but at the intersection of I-24 and US 41 alt. is a Flying J and a Pilot. Just down the road from FT Campbell on the KY side. The Pilot lets me park there. I go inside and fill out a log so they know I'm there.

 

Any drop yards in Roanoke Va. ?

 

no, only in Winchester.

 

Out of curisoty, has anybody jotted down any notes about the various drop lots they have been to?

For example.
Kearny NJ - gated, only has a porta potty
Tunkhannock PA - open, full bathroom and showers
Bethleham PA - open, no bathroom. But a casino is less then half a mile away.
Winchester VA - open, no bathrooms. Walmart supercenter 6 miles away.
Shrewsbury MA, South Portland ME - open, porta potty
