so I put my app in with Schneider and they are my number one choice. Did phone interview with recruiter today. I have a minor rear ender in October of 2011 with minimal damage I wasn't ticketed for, she said as long as speed was under 30 mph all good but anything over is a five year lockout? Ok, so when I actually hit the girl, I may have been 10 mph but the speed limit on that road is 55. This has me worried. Any ideas as to what to say or ask, and why this is such a great big deal? Otherwise, no criminal history and driving record is otherwise clean.
5 year lockout?

Most companies have a period from the last major accident. And a rollover, rear-end, etc, are considered major accidents by companies. Some may still take you, but you're gonna have to do some searching.

Rear Enders are very serious.
Its grounds for immediate termination at many places.
Rear ending someone in an 80 , ooo pounds truck could
potentially knock them into the next dimension.
Its also demonstrates a lack of attention in a big way.
Most accidents occur due to lack of attention.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
What matters most is if it was a DOT reportable accident. DOT reportables are when a vehicle has to be towed or a person has to be transported for medical treatment, either or. If not, it will NOT be on your CSA and Schneider will probably not care... Companies care about not raising their CSA score, but fender benders don't count.
