Anybody know the deal with this? My IC told me today she would like me to go to the next one. She made it sound like a pretty big deal. It was flattering to hear her say that I'm doing a good job, and even though I haven't been here that long she thinks I would have valuable input, etc..... What I'm wondering is, do they pretty much invite everybody and just make it sound like a big deal so they can get people to go, or is it actually significant?

Assuming it is a big deal: What would fellow IC'S like to see addressed?

We used to have conference calls. The only thing about that, I would be driving and could not listen in.

Is it just a phone conference call or is it at an actual place?

it's a 2 day conference they have in green bay every year she said. They put you up in hotel, buy meals, and pay a little flat for your time. She said the last one is what lead to them dropping relay fee from $500 to $400.

I don't think I've gotten an invite, LOL. You know they watch this forum, know who I am, and know that I know too much hahahah.

This is the first time I heard of this. I wouldn't mind taking a trip up too Green Bay. A couple of years ago, I ran into an ic at the charlotte OC. He was one of the members on the panel. He said same changes was coming... The only change I have seen, is letting IC pick up relays. Before that we could not pick up a relay. The only time we could relay is, if we were picking it up from another IC.

Every year they bring a group of ICs, Bulk, Van, and Team drivers over several weeks in to get feedback.

I was on it two years ago. Got a nice mug out of it and met some folks. Other than that no real changes. The Mobil app did come as a result, as did the MPG challenge of last spring and the move away from OOR as a bonus metric.

Holiday pay, wait times/quality of help d with support shift, training program, and a host of other things not so much.

noted mickeyrat. For real, any ic's if you can think of something that needs addressed share it here. I will be making notes and will share your thoughts when I go.

    1. More loads... more loads... more loads. They are pushing lease trucks real hard. Hope they keep up with the demand by giving us access to more freight with all the new drivers coming on to the board.
    2. A way to adjust NAT/NAL from Crossroads - why they removed this from Crossroads was beyond me, I really liked it
    3. A way to view MCP messages on Crossroads
    4. More accurate reporting for relay load arrival times on the load board - if the driver dropping the relay doesn't update his ETAs, the load will show up with what the computer system thinks should be the correct ETA. Many times this is over a day off from the actual arrival
    5. A BIG ONE HERE - GIVE US ACTUAL LOAD WEIGHTS, WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO DO? Having already had one heavy truck, and now having an even HEAVIER truck, this is very important for me to know. I turn down a lot of loads for fear that the "mystery" 40,000lb load weight could mean anything
    6. Another BIG ONE - SHOWING IF A TIME ON THE LOAD BOARD IS "READY AT" OR "MUST PICK UP DURING "X" TIME" and the same on the delivery, "DELIVER BY" OR "MUST DELIVER DURING "X" TIME"
