I was off while all this happened and I guess my MCP was in deep sleep mode and didn't get the new messages.
What is company policy for DVIRs now? I noticed they changed stuff on the inspection report screen. Are we still required to submit a DVIR and check the "no defects" box? It looks like they added a "dvir not required" option, but I'm guessing that is for submitting DVIRs for a range of dates when taking time off?
So what is SNI's policy on the new no-dvir stuff

they told me in class it's Schneider's policy to continue to do so.

They do Canada so prob going to keep y'all doing them just for habits sake. What Conway's doing even though half the company doesn't go there it seems.

Weird, I'd still keep a carbon copy.

I haven't heard either way. I stopped as of 12/18 when it went into effect. Haven't got a "missing DVIR" message yet.

I must be missing something, they take away mandatory pretrips ?

No...the fmcsa only removed the requirement to fill out a dvir if there's defects on equipment. -
Never received a message about it but heard about the new rule. Still doing it until they tell me to stop
