Thanks to those who have offered thanks...it doesn't happen often but sometimes I have something to say or to be more precise, ferret has something to say and gives me the choice of posting or getting a Willis TX surprise under my pillow; black mail by bm

I started a thread in the new drivers forum steering readers to this post not to gain attention for SNI but rather to give my perspective albeit one that is tinted orange. Good, bad, or indifferent, I drive for SNI and my full body of professional driving is viewed with a SNI perspective; a few in the new drivers forum interpreted my post "advertising" this thread as pimp'n for pumpkin. I am merely attempting to illuminate the ground a new driver will be deployed upon...ah but some people (especially those with limited skills of comprehension) just need to hate.

Read an update, this shining example of professionalism is allegedly unemployed - effective approximately 30 minutes after the video was posted. Pretty sure I saw it on the Twisted Truckers Facebook page - someone shared that info, along with a picture of the 'evidence' that wasn't removed.

    I might consider doing that if I cared...I don't!
If a noobie wants to make the effort then they only have to come to this specific thread forum. I was surprised that there was a number of postings from very experienced drivers on a NEW DRIVERS thread...reminds me of those clowns hanging out in the lounge of any Pilot holding court for all those poor souls who only want to watch Law and Order.

If I post my random observations here at least most of you can relate to my obscure references and a number of you have actually met ferret and know that ferret is not a figment of my imagination.

I prefer to think of Ferret as your Harvey the Rabbit, or the Hookah Smoking Caterpillar, or Snuffalupagus after hanging out with Hunter S Thompson.

A wealthy and eccentric Jimmy Stewart and his 6 foot ####tail drinking lagomorph...I admit to eccentricities but alas wealth is as elusive as Harvey is invisible
I finally got my Samsung hooked up so I can post while tapping out text messages...

Weed-I5, in the the aura of Mt Shasta.

Spoke with an IC who started his lease run 2 days before I started driving for SNI and it turns out I've run 4000 more miles in 10 months then he has and he runs 500+ days most of the time. Pays not having a life or using TAH...lol

As for super gluing a drivers locks..
Just a little advice..NEVER mess with someone's truck.
That's good way to get messed up or worse.

Other than that a nice well thought out post..you should do just fine out here.

Lies, #### lies, and typical Internet postings from anonymous members...
Ferret likes me to add a little of the latter to remind the reader that everything on the web needs to be examined carefully and that we all need to maintain an eye for that grand pronouncement of dubious veracity.
Try the latest posting on Schneider in the negatives forum...there you will hear/read about paid trolls pumping up companies and cry babies claiming they got dun wrong cause SNI lied.
The Internet, where bs piles higher than Everest! And yes, I do my light hearted part to build that mountain higher with every post.

Noticed a news thread announcing the ATA supports lowering the minimum driver age to 18; a few thoughts while waiting for road service tire repair.

Is the ATA supporting this for reasons of equality and opportunity? Is this a special interest lobby trying to provide more entry level drivers who will be accepting of the current cpm paradigm? Are the major carriers and "mega fleets" supporting this proposal?

Many have compared the use of "18yo" in military service as an example of why it is unfair to have the current 21yo entry requirement: the very obvious differences are the level of intense training and the reality that 18yo soliders/sailors /Marines don't fuction as independents; they fuction within a team and are directly managed by NCOS who make the decisions. An 18yo driver is captain of their independent truck and there is no experienced NCO keeping an eye on their actions and performance comparable to the military analogy.
I see this as a cynical attempt by the ATA to perpetuate the low remuneration of cpm by using younger and less worldly warm bodies.
