Hello I am considering schneider as a possible choice. I was looking for reviews from anyone who has or does work for them. I'm applying for a dedicated Dollar General route. They are saying I am out five days and will run between 1300 and 1500 miles a week. Does anyone know if this is true and how is the pay? Also, I am looking for a job where I get home weekly. I have 6 months experience. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1500 mile over five days is 300 miles a day.
Say they paid you .40 (which is a long shot at Schneider lol).. that's like what $600 a week?
Get your doubles and hazmat and apply for an LTL job...

Depends on where you live. Several companies have weekends at home.

Dollar General usually pays stop pay and unload I do believe. It's a lot of work from what I hear. If it were me I'd go choice and run mid west and be home weekends and when I wanted to Duh that's what I do sorry had a driver moment. Lol. Call a recruiter and ask lots more questions.
jonargal Thanks this. -
I can't name them off the top of my head but there are a bunch of companies that can get you home, pay decently, and are a much better work environment than you would find at Dollar General dedicated account. Even running regional with Schneider would be better.jonargal, mickimause, Captbob412 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Check out schneider indermodal if they are hiring in your area. Home weekly out 5 days.

Look at walmart account too. Always looking for guys at Wintersville and Washington Courthouse . both in Ohio.. Depending on where in WVa you are there are a couple options available to you.
The DG accounts or any Dollar type accounts are all driver hand unload, loose stack/packed. Taking off individual boxes on the rollers or whatever sends it off the truck. AND you get to work with the low wage employees. Look at JCP too. Likely be able to get you a load to get you toward home for the weekend that delivers on monday That account is driver hand unload but its pallets and clothes on hangers. M-F off for 48 hrs plus.
