I do the 3 weeks on/1 week off schedule; I don't know if this program is unique to my terminal or not. The work/life balance suits me perfectly. Due to a lack of other slip-seaters I usually just get put in a truck that is close to getting sold out of the fleet. This allows me to stay out a bit longer if I feel so inclined (as I did on this particular rotation). You give up a weeks income per month, but it's worth-while in my eyes to get an entire week off. If you can give up the pay I'd highly recommend it.
I've heard stories where these companies purposely keep you far from home, so when your 7 off comes up, you're nowhere near home. Remember, your home is the truck in these deals.
except what truck are they putting that other driver who was home, in? Seems like it runs the same as 6/3 schedule . 3 drivers 2 trucks . One is always at home and they rotate you out really well. that was my experience on the 6/3. Have heard that the 7 typically carries over the course of 2 pay weeks. so you have a few days driving on each and every check at least.

Yes it really is 14 days out and 7 days off. Usually leave out on a Wednesday and get home on a Wednesday that way you always get a full weekend off every time you are home. It is slip seat. 3 drivers share 2 trucks. The trucks are always rolling and at the end of the day that is what SNI cares about. To address another point SNI does (well the Des Moines OC anyway) does a great job of getting you home because there is another driver waiting to get in the truck. Any other questions feel free to ask. I still drive but just not with SNI anymore.

Hey knuckledragger, I know they had openings for this plan on the I-5 corridor for Oregon and Washington listed earlier this week. They also had a 7/7 listed.

    knuckledragger Thanks this.
