I'll be starting with SNI out of West Memphis, Ar. in a couple of weeks. At present I'll be pushing a regional dry box as a company driver. It looks like from what I've seen, there are no APUs on the company units.
What I'm interested in is running a refrigerator and microwave with a possible coffee pot (if allowed) and I'm looking for recommendations on those and a power inverter that will power them all.
Any help appreciated, thanks!
Starting with Schneider in a couple of weeks

For a fridge either use one of the thermoelectric coolers, or if you've got $300-500 to spend you can get really nice 12v fridge/freezers that work just like the real thing. They aren't cheap though. I have one from Dometic I used for a year in my company truck as a fridge. The KW I bought has a fridge built-in, so now I use the Dometic unit as a freezer and keep frozen pizzas, etc., in there. The thermoelectric ones will struggle especially in summer. Microwave is a no-go since SNI doesn't allow anything other than small inverters that plug into the 12v cigarette lighter sockets. I believe there are some 12v coffee makers that can plug into the sockets as well, though I have no idea how well they work. Avoid the cheap roadpro crap from truckstops. Max Burton makes some decent 12v appliances though and I think they have a coffee maker.

Dfo said it. I have a 12v cooler and its amazing. Of course no ice cream, no meat, nothing that can get spoil easy. There's 12v coffee maker and 12v water boiler thingy if you need hot water. No microwave. Unless you want to bring your own generator to power them.

First off if you push anything it'll be a broom to clean out trailers.......lol .... we pull vans second sni won't allow a inverter big enough to run a microwave bit you can use them free at truck stops when you stop. The cooler is cheapest bet and is a nice option.

Benefits look good though so we'll see how it goes. -
What! No inverters? Dang it, I was going to leave my company and finish my year at schneider before I went IC. My company just ticked me off! I do have an inverter and a fridge though(company provides even). Maybe I'll have to suck it up. 3 more months.

Does anybody know about the hire right email you get after talking to someone about joining schneider ?
I can pm you the whole page if you know how to read it for me.
thanks -
That hire right email is what Schneider gets back for your DAC report and they transfer it to their Schneider logo paper and send it to you via email. I got one also, it is just the same thing that is on the hire right report if you were to order it yourself.

this sucks.. I started to fill out the application but was missing some information so I just saved it ..and I told the schneider guy that is was not complete and he said it was ok... but I did not fill out the stuff that was important.. like licenses from other states and tickets from 2006 but now that stuff is on the email I got back.. I didn't want them to think I was hiding anything.. I was going to put it on as soon as I got the information from the other states
JPearson Thanks this. -
It won't be a problem when they call you they will go over it with you and ask you about anything on it that you do not have listed and you will be able to explain each thing as you need to. It was no big deal just let the recruiter know you did not get to list everything. I went through this process just a few weeks ago and everything went fine. Just my experience can't speak for anyone else maybe someone else has experienced it and will chime in also. GOOD LUCK!!!
