I was told there not but by the looks on there web site they are. I am 21 years old and I am about to finish school here in a month. I have some interest in Schnieder they seem like a #### good company, I want to drive otr home time is not my concern at all. I live in New York also which is in they hiring area if I understand correctly. On my driving record I have 1 accident that I was ticketed for also.

What is the pay like? What is the AVG. Length of haul and what not. I would call and ask but no recruiters in the office during the weekend.

I might be starting on the 17th ,they told me the following for otr van.

    32com with a quartly 2cpm safety bonus .
    Average length of haul 400-600.
Rider policy is 18+ unless direct family then its 10. NO PETS.

No cell phones or even blue tooth well driving ,supposed there's drivers that will narc on you for using them.

You will run east of the rockeys and will have forced NYC ,one of my classmates first solo was to NYC so be warned .

It's not forced dispatch, they can't and won't force you to go anywhere you want. Then again, it's probably a good idea to not be demanding when you're new and you haven't proven yourself to them. Once you build a rapport with the people you deal with you can be more demanding. Seeing as the OP is from NY though I'd say there's a safe bet he's going to see NY LOL. The key phrase to use though is "I feel unsafe". That's a phrase that will cause them to immediately put on the brakes and pull an assignment from you LOL

yes, they hire new inexperienced drivers whose CDL's are still drying from being freshly printed. :biggrin_255:
