To all current or recent former company OTR drivers

    - With regards to home time on SNI 48 State OTR, can you request home time anywhere in the lower 48 or can
you only request home time at your actual home location? For example I live in NY and my family will be on
vacation at Disney World in FL. Could I request home time in FL assuming I have a safe place to park?

    - With regards to overall time off, do they allow you to take additional time off beyond your standard 1-2 weeks of
vacation if you need / want to without consequence other than probably giving up your truck and obviously
no pay? For example you want to take a month off sometime during the year or a couple weeks off a few times
    during the year

Please only legit answers. I have a pension from a previous career and can afford to take additional time off if
SNI allows it. I am aware that the choice program would allow what I am asking. Not interested in that at this point. Just the company driver side of the company.

    Thanks.

yes , you could take hometime where ever you wished. In fact might make it easier on load planning that way.

the other question would be something you would have to work out with your dbl I expect. understanding as you do that truck needs to move then I wouldnt foresee a problem myself. But what do I know, they pay me to drive not think!! good luck.

You'll be fine, just keep your DBL informed and they'll be flexible with you. Don't ask to be in Florida on the 15th when it's the 12th and you're in Washington.

Schneider has no problem with you taking as much unpaid time off as you wish, provided you clean the truck out if you're going to be off for more than 5 days.

Last year I took almost all of February off plus my vacation in August.
