    Really!!

I had a right front inside drive tire blow....Ripped a quarter fender and TriPac off the truck and was dragging it to the shoulder.
Imagine what it would do to the back of a plastic sleeper!

Bet they didn't even do a test just made up numbers like the rest do because you can't afford 115 million to dispute them.

Same with anything its manipulation just to get cash out of our pockets.

Look at the engine they were using, 1400 ft lbs of torque and 390 horses. I bet if I derated an engine like that, ran at moderate speed along a fairly level course (they went from San Antonio to Dallas for crying out loud) and didn't have much of a headwind I would get 9-10 MPG out of any other new truck at 65k gross. BFD.

All the numbers and science aside... It's got it's own sort of beauty. Anytime someone starts quoting numbers to me, I tend to ignore them and ask if that's real-world data or if that's laboratory data.

All the plastic/fiberglass I question the durability myself. But the thing looks like it stepped out of a sci-fi flick into the real world if you ask me. There's still something about those curves. ...but I will still hang onto the classics, we should never give up on the classics.

I was roughly 65k gross coming back from texas to Ga. Trailer had a skirt and I was honestly impressed with the fuel savings I saw in both directions. 9.9 on the way out (I was very light.), and 9.2 on the way back in. I know without the skirt I would get 9.2 on the way out, and 8.9-8.7 on the way back in. Ran 60 the whole way.

If it gets that mileage you can bet Schneider will have it and govern it down soon! You can also count on it being a Freightliner and shaking and rattling down the road riding like a lumber wagon!!

    Honestly. I'd drive it. :biggrin_25524:

...after enough mechanical issues... I'd drive it off a cliff.
