Haven't been on here for quite a while. Still have hopper guys on here?
Yep. brokers are a pain even on forums. Rates are lousy for hoppers in Kansas.
Since you have been on this forum since only Dec 15 I wouldn't be so hard on rollin coal.
Wheat harvest about to start. Should be better than last year.
I'm not from Oklahoma but know a person there that runs hoppers. Look up K & J transportation out of enid ok. He runs hoppers and leases some...
Does sound like a good setup. I never really thought about hauling distillers to farmers usually around here it just goes to feedlots. Course...
Milo seems to be the grain that's moving around here.
Been hauling milo the last few months. Fuel has been dropping like a rock but so have the rates. 2.89 last time looked on Friday.
Interesting. I've been transferring now for at least two months now. Course we have had very good yields. Wheat harvest was bad but fall harvest...
Been hauling wheat and milo up until week or so ago. Now beans are the hot item... been hauling them fast and furious. Going to start hauling corn...
Long term wise tough to get them to stay lubed. Heard slip plate paint works but never tried it. If you keep the hopper doors adjusted it helps.
Hauling wheat is winding down... some corn is being cut. There really isn't a whole lot of corn around here this year. Some dry fertilizer is...
Probably would go for older pete. However if tearing up western stars not sure anything will make it. Never driven one but supposedly are tough...
That is one strange looking setup. Don't believe ever seen one like that.
Cold out. 38 degrees. Corn harvest is slowly going but the cold damp weather isn't helping any. Supposed to be warmer next week.
Still a bunch of us trying to get wheat out of elevators before the corn comes rolling in. Don't think we will make it.
Good luck. Hope you do a lot of hauling.
Welcome back to hoppers for a while. Supposed to be a big fall harvest everywhere so hopper demand should be up for local and regional.
I haven't posted much mainly because Truckers Report has become a newbie forum.
I'm betting Timpte is the lightest. I myself would go with air ride.
