Seriously, when you pay for a refresher, then go straight into a lease...you don't have a job. You are gambling with your time...you might make it, you might not.

Better alternative is to call and talk with recruiters with literally hundreds of companies. Even in this economy, persistence like this will pay off.

I currently live in Northern Maine. I have been searching for an opportunity to get back in the industry since January. I think I have called nearly ever outfit there is. At this time, with the experience that I have, CRE is the only company that has done anything close to hiring me.

I am aware that by doing this I am buying a job, but all I need to do is last long enough to get enough experience to move on to something else.

My [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. details my situation.

If you have any specific suggestions, or contacts you're willing to share, please feel free to let me know.

Otherwise, it is what it is and beggars can't be choosers and so on. Please help if you can.

Good Luck Rattlebunny...I hope what ever course you travel works out for you and please let us know how it goes.

I understand what you are going through in trying to find a job, I have plenty of experience but nobody is hiring where I live - Florida. It sucks big time. I do not like living here but have no choice right now, however as soon as we are able we plan on leaving this state and heading to our one favourite place of all time...Maine.

There's no work up here either. Hence my taking the chance on C.R. England. But I wish you luck as well.

I'll be keeping a blog updated through out. At least that's the plan.
