I don't sit and nether do many other drivers I know. I run 4-5 weeks at a time and know drivers who run as long as 8 weeks straight. Yea I've heard of the 70-8 days rule. Whats your point? I never run more then 55-60 hours a week and put in 2800+ every week. I might put in 65 hours on a 3500 miles week. So you take a 34 and go back to running again. If drivers are sitting 2-3 days waiting on loads, then they ether need to quite pissing off there disp. or find a better company to work for. Locals taking naps? Oh yea I see it all the time. Can't tell you how many times I have pulled into a rest area around any big city you want to name and seen some local kicked back napping. Or on some side street.
