I just finished talking to a carrier about "Ohio Mulch Co. out of Columbus, OH"
We shared stories and mine was that Ohio Mulch owes me $22000!!!
For those who don't know...hauling bagged mulch is too cheap. So how about hauling it for FREE!!!! Anyone up for that? I know its tempting to get you home out of places like (eg..Homerville, GA) But don't haul it. They don't pay the brokers, and chances are, the broker won't pay you. They sell to Menards, Home Depot, and Walmart.
Just thought I would send a warning out to the guys and gals who matter.
Thanks
.....I think I'll pass on buying their product too!
Fyi don't haul ohio mulch, co

never let anyone get in the hole with you for that much money they could go bankrupt at any moment and you would never get your money for sure....

I don't have any experience hauling for them, BUT...
When I was able to go back to work after healing up from my car accident I was still unemployed being that I was laid off while in recovery. Being laid off I was able to collect unemployment. With no dependents I would clear $365 a week from the state. Ohio makes you register with a job finding assistance program. Under "truck driving" was Ohio Mulch. I called...
Was offered a job working 40 hours a week at $12/hr. I could work overtime if they had it, but I would make an additional $12/hr. No overtime pay. So $480 a week gross for 40 hours. Minus taxes I would have cleared $350.
I stayed on unemployment...
