Believe me I don't take offense and yes not everyone is lazy. I am talking about the ones that are I really don't care if there Union or non Union if there not going to do the job they shouldn't be there working. If the shippers sets the appointment and if the drivers make the appointment on time then it should be unloaded in timely manner. The drivers get paid for the miles he drives and some extra if they qualify for it. so they can't be bringing in money if there waiting for somebody take a notion to unload his trucks.

I agree with you, Bron

You're right, Bron. Not all union guys are "slow" at loading. In fact, I'd go as far as to say most bust their #####.

I didn't mean to imply that union guys anywhere are lazy. What I will say is that the system itself, in some places, either encourages or forces union dockworkers to be "slow".

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

WALMART isn't your friend. Truckers must take care of truckers. If a company tells me to get off of their property because I needed sleep, then I'll leave. This should show every Trucker and their families how disrespectful certain companies are,and that if all Truckers and their families started boycotting these companies, by not buying from them then things will change. The Federal Government are in businesses control. The only power we have as Truckers are to fight together, not only for ourselves but for the future Truckers, which could be your children or grandchildren. Truckers start the country and Truckers can stop the country.

I have been pulling Wal-Mart dedicated for a year now ( Wal-Mart trailers ) and i have never had any employee of Wal-Mart tell me i could not sleep there when i needed a 10 hr break. I guess it all depends on what is in the contract between Wal-Mart and the company you drive for.

wal-mart

Advise to all drivers going to deliver goods at any wal-mart in canada and
decided to sleep on their premises you will be ticketed for parking on lot,
I went to deliver at a walmart and then , I went to sleep on their lot and was ticketed by the local police. I was told that I can park on the street to sleep and is legal , you park on shopping centers in canada and when you wake up thrers a surprise on your windshield.

Turn your wipers on and the surprise will blow away!

It will take some backbone, which we all know does not exist today in the US. In every aspect of our daily lives the American people are being pissed on. AND WE PUT UP WITH IT. No public outrage on the deaths of our Soldiers and Sailors, energy cost, blantant disrespect for the Constituion, mexican cross border program, our pourus borders, our crumbling infastructures, ie bridges, tunnels, dams, its 2007 and we still cannot mine safely, or willing to spend the money to mine safely, buts its just human lives lost, and not ours. Yeah, the truth does hurt, but when or if do we ever get some courage?
