I LOVE IT!!!! I'm dying here thinking of the look on that jerk's face when you did that. And that poor cashier!!! Dangit driver, if you were still OTR, I'd have to buy you dinner sometime just to say thanks for giving them what they deserved. Am also kicking myself thinking "Why didn't I think of that?" I kneel at the feet of the master!!!! :biggrin_2559:

As for me, Gordon Food Service in Springfield, Oh comes to mind. The people are nice and you have a football field to back in but I delivered there three times and the shortest unloading time was seven hours.

The good thing about it was it was close enough to the yard where I picked it up that I got city pay from the time I was dispatched until I was unloaded.

The bad thing was dispatch always seemed to send me there after I had two days off. Nothing like being rested with hours to run and get a load that goes 33 miles.

Well, instead of having hours to run, you now have hours to sit.

This was some little medical supply sinkhole, in Trenton NJ, I wish I could remember the name of the dump.

Got there about an hour early for my 8 PM appointment, checked in the gaurd shack only to find out that they are only open 7 AM to 4 PM but stop unloading at 3 PM. He cant explain why I had an 8 PM appointment but he is happy to offer that today is Friday so you will have to wait till Monday.

Monday rolls around and I check back in. They asked me why I was late??!! A driver from another company had also been there with me all wekend and we both assured them that we were in no way late. I think they got a kick out of doing this. But anyway we got empty, got our bills signed and were cleared to leave about 3 hours later.

Now I have just got a new load message on my qualcomm. I am in the middle of nowhere, and need a couple minutes to catch up my log book (start my day) and find my next shipper on the map. So when I am pulling thru the security gate I asked them if they had a place I could park for about 10 minutes. He pointed me toward a set of docks outside the gate and said park there, we dont use those anymore.

I no sooner get the brakes set than this yahoo comes screeching over in his dodge caravan screaming and yelling that I cant park here. I told him the other guy said I could for a few minutes. He tells me he is the gaurd outside the gate and that other guy has no "authority" on his side of the fence. I offered that I would be happy to move the truck if he could just tell me where he would like it. Words I would later enjoy! He responds with raising his voice even higher, not answering my quiestion at all and telling me he is now calling the cops. So I asked the jack off if he needed to borrow my phone. Keep in mind I am a team driver so I had a witness to everything I am saying here. He followed with threatning to come up there and "kick my ***". So I invited him to walk his fat *** over and give it his best effort. Finally he grabs his cell phone, my co-driver is laughing and begging me to move the truck.

The guy screams over, "one last chance to move your truck before I call the cops". Again I explained to him I would move the truck but needed to know where he wanted it. He actually pointed to the parking spot he was occupying!!! So I released the brakes about to show this idiot how stupid he really was acting. I mean he was parked in the middle of the driveway, at least I was out of the way....and would have to crush his truck AND his ego to follow his instructions. My co-driver hops out and while I am backing up to set up to park on top of this so called security gaurd, he strolls over to tell the goofball he might want to move his little van. At this point the guy realizes what he had asked me to do. His idea of thinking fast was to tell my co-driver that he meant to put it over there and apparently just picked a direction and pointed. Right to the employee lot, room for about 15 cars and half those being used. Meanwhile without realizing where he had pointed he starts telling my co-driver that he hadnt actually called the police, he had instead called his wife.

So now we head slowly toward employee cars. At this point I am just trying to aggrevate the little booger. He watches as I inch it right up in there between cars blocking the lot completely, yet leaving myself all the room in the world to back out. To which he yells "thanks guys!!!" and speeds off as fast as that little van could carry him.

I waited there for a bit to see if he had the nerve to come back and ask us to move again, but he never did. We finally left, but we laughed at this idiot for miles and miles.

I cant wait to get a load back there!!!

We rarely get to drop scrap in there and usually only after waiting a few hours. I absolutely hate that place. Maybe it's just me but it seems like the places I go to from there are just as bad.

As long as I'm gettin' stuff off my chest, Wegman's grocery in Rochester NY. another pack of jack holes to deal with. It's one thing to take a long time to unload but there is no reason to be rude in the process. In Wal Mart's defense they have always been polite but their saftey rules can be tedious.

You do know the reason for this and why WalMarts now have you unhook and pull out? At the rate of speed the forklifts go into the trailers and hit the walls, with you not in the truck or hooked its allot harder for you to feel the movement and sense they just poked the walls.

With you hooked up and in the truck it is allot easier to get out when YOU know they poked the wall or hit the bulkhead so hard it broker the reefer return air plastic, get out and call them out for doing so. With you out of the truck or unhooked its allot harder for you to sense those sounds and movements hence attaching them to any damage. I only know this cause I was an unloader for Albertsons and Academy and have driven more brutally than was necessary.

This is very true. Every time i have been there more than two hours, as long as its noted on the BOL then I get paid. One thing I dont mind about waiting when at least I will get SOME compensation.
