I see what your saying.... but if Kmart is at the other end of the strip mall from where you are parked then they should have no control over that. Now if your in their part of the lot and if the property owner has it in the lease that they can control the lot then I can see where they may be a prob. I realy dont see where if you have a delivery to Kmart or one of the stores in the lot..You have a right to park in the lot because your doing your job. I know laws vary from state to state but for the most part you should have no prob in parking there to u/l your stuff...IMO. If I am wrong please say so.

I have a stay away order from Costco Tracy. The supervisor there didn't like what I told him to go do to his mother when he told me I would have to restack the entire load that was in a sealed trailer I picked up at Kim.-clark. It wasn't loaded properly and most the pallets had fallen over. At costco he told me I couldn't leave and lumpers where not allowed on the property.

So I got permission from my DM to unhook and leave the trailer in the door. As far as I know it's still there.

Don't hate me, I aint the one that gave wagon drivers that reputation.
Correct, us door slammers are a lazy bunch. Besides, I drop and hook at Walmarts so no worries.

Pretty much the same story in Toledo, OR. Except is live load outbound too. Pretty drive along the Oregon Coast to get in and out though.

I was standing in line at a shipping/receiving office at a water plant in Texas, waiting to get a door. The driver at the front of the line handed the girl at the window a BOL and CAT scale that showed he was over gross. She took the paper and handed it to another person in the office, who I assume was her boss. That lady came outside, looked at the papers several times and then asked the driver, "Are you loaded yet?"

Tyson is a major nitemare in waiting, i pick there on a fairly regular basis, and have learned the trick of it, when i get a Tyson load, i know its going to take forever, so i take my time and shower/ laundry, and get a movie on the way, just making sure to arrive when load assignment says to, then i park as close to a bathroom as i can, and have me a mini vacation, with clean cloths and clean buttock, i watch movie, and sleep in untill they beat on my door or call me (as most tysons will) then relaxed, and ready I am able to run hard with the load and can usually make up for how late they were in being ready, for on time del

the moral of the story is, its not so bad to wait, if u know its coming and can plan it into your schedule, its when u dont know, and it messes your schedule up that sucks

I remember those Tyson plants in Holcomb Ks and in Morris il, the company i was working for had me sit at either plant for the most of 4 days, the only one that got me in and out within 1 hour was the Tyson plant along the Nebraska/iowa state line on the nebraska side. Went to that same Tyson plant in Nebraska later on in the same week (thursday) and did not leave till sunday night and my company wanted me in Syracuse Ny by 3am the next morning. Tyson isnt all bad, its some of these outside carriers who want to piss off there drivers to where they want you to quit than fire you. The company i am referring about is Prioirty (which i found out recently that they Priority got bought out by Celadon), IF i get back into pulling reefers again, it will be with a company that does not have there drivers sit no more than 2 to 3 hours at a shipper or consignee.

Kraft Foods - Battle Creek MI

Had to pick up there last night, had an apt time to pu between 2300 and 2359 got there a little early hoping to be able to drop and hook. Nope they sent me to the truck stop and told me to call about one to see if it was ready. It wasnt ready until 3:30 am just stupid I was so mad and sitting around at those hours waiting makes me tired but I love running at night. Oh and Costco does suck, the DC in Morris IL is ok but the stores suck. They are a pain to get into sometimes and the people there treat you like children. I went to one last week, had a 4am delivery time. Now I run a lot of dedicated for costco so there is always an empty trailer for the 4am dry delivery so you can drop and hook. Ok check in says drop in door 1 take the empty on door 4. Ok drop and get hooked up to the empty, go inside to get paperwork and he says oh I gotta put one more stack of pallets on that then its yours. Im like what????? Pallets you said it was empty I cant take that I have somewhere else to go. Well he says I dont care you HAVE to take it. That word peaves me off real bad when someone tells me I HAVE to do something especially when I dont work for them.
