I assume the word that was edited in the 2nd post above was a reference to making someone mad?? Guess i never knew it was a vulgar word. It don't show up in the vulgar dictionary and when i was in Sydney a few years back i drank [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. Beer. Kinda funny how words that kids hear hundreds of times every day on TV are edited here but it's not my board so TEHO.....................

BTW, Why in the heck would a kid want to access this board anyways????

There has been more than one person busted on a "secret" on the internet. The world is indeed a small place when it comes to the internet.

Its ok man I aint skeered !!!! My lawyer, accountant, X IRS agent who enjoys putting these large corperations in their place said there is nothing they can do now as we walked out of the courtroom. Kinda like O.J. cant be charged with murdering his wife again. Even if he gets on tv and admitted to it. Its a done deal. I won and had the same eatin grin on my face O.J. did when the verdict was read. This has been so many years now the statue of limitations has run out anyhow...

Ya know that is just way beyond wrong, and if anyone finds out about it you could be in some serious trouble I would think!.....having a problem and getting the courts to solve it is one thing, to rip of anyone with faked documents is in no way for any reason even close to being ok.

Im sorry you feel that way Luv. I didnt feel bad for even the slightest second and i never will!!!! Im in this business to make money and nothing else. A contract is a contract and i met my end of it and they didnt. As it stands with all the miles and time that i put in to it all the only thing recived was getting a decent wage that i could have made hauling other freight rather than screwing around with these idiots. That truck and trailer sat for 3 weeks with a load on it (i was only reimbursed in storage fees that a warehouse would charge) I kept fuel in the reefer to keep the product from going bad ( which cost me money) Lawyers aint cheap ( he cost me money ) Spent 2 days in court ( which cost me money). The point is when i showed up at my appointment time and backed up to the dock. My job was done and my contract was met. These people brought this on themselves (by broker not wanting to pay the lumper fee and by wal mart for even trying to charge to unload their own freight) ...........

If your hubby went out and spent just under a million dollars on equipment, signed a contract to do a job with it with one person or company. Completed that job, and was then told by another person from another company that he had to give them a cut of that money. Would he pay it like the rest of the sheep or would he fight to keep what is rightfulley his??????????????

If these wanna be supertrucking low freight rate grocery haulers dont grow any balls and stand up for themselves all they are ever gonna be is a sheep and they are gonna do what everyone else does. Which is mostly whine about how much it cost them to unload , how long they had to wait , how they aint making any money( because they leased on to someone who only pays so much a mile) , How long they have to be away from home just to make a little money, Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Im sorry but i cant be a sheep and i learned long time ago that i have to fight for what is mine and after that fight im gonna keep it!!!!!!!!

And by the way that broker is out of business ( probably back in business under another name jacking someone else around) And im still here doing it my way and charging more money than ever.....

So you ended up spending MORE than the $60 it would have cost you to unload the potatoes in the first place. *golf clap*

I also agree that was wrong, but really nothing compared to a driver getting his truck repoed for alot less, guess in some ways he got even for some of us. not that brokers cheat you also, every chance they get. No one ever really knows what that load paid that you hauled, its always a big secret, that info comes from a friend that is 85 and been on the inside and outside of all trucking industry, its a very true statement, don't you think? Worse case scenerio was at C and S warehouse in hatfield ma.,had a 5am appt to unload, got called into a door at 5 pm,unloaded and left at 8 pm, was driving for an owneroperator with 2 trucks,I quit that eve,.. never went back there either.

Thumbs up

As a Company Driver, I'll pay wail mart or ANY company for them to unload THEIR OWN freight as it ain't my money.
I usually have some company cash on hand merely for this reason alone, otherwise there'll be no paying anyone anything unless by Com-check, T-check and if these are not acceptabe, then bye.
Were I an O. O. and I arrived to a receiver and was told I needed to pay them for the "pleasure of their unloading ability" and this as well was NOT in the original agreement, I too would NOT pay them any money and would drive away and sell their freight.
What RoadRocket did was cover RoadRockets tail and the backend money covered the frontend expenses, so what's the hoopla about?!

These type scenarios have been occurring since trucking began and shall continue till its end.

Possession is 9/10ths of the law!!

they all took off for lunch. i was trying to ask someone what time they would come back, and each and every single "A" whole would just walk right by me, totally ignoring me. even the security guard at the gate when i first showed up had an attitude problem. i'm thinking i'm in trucker's ####........

they simply refused to unload that trailer and told me to leave. i called my company and they said to bring the load down to the company terminal in VA, and if they want their load, they will now have to pay double the amount it would have originally cost.

my boss back home said if that were to ever happen again, to just start dumping the stuff onto the ground.

we never went back to that warehouse after that.............

10-4 Pro1Driver and merely pulling 10 feet from the dock and unloading gets their attention too.

Angry

Since the editing function seems to be DYSfunctional for me for some reason, I am to post more times that I would otherwise.

Back in '00 when I drove for PTL through an O/O, I was at a company in Maryland (around the 100 mile post of I-95) and was there on a Tuesday for an 11pm appt. to load. I arrived at 8 pm and sat there IN A DOOR until I was fully loaded by 7:30 pm Wednesday night.
They refused to allow me to drop and return later, so I along with about 8 other drivers kept the shippers miserable until we were loaded.

At another time for another company, I was to deliver to a wail mart d.c. in Georgia on a Monday morn', yet was told that I was 24 hrs. late (shippers paperwork stated a 24 hour window) and I waited until 6pm when they "squeezed me in". I only learned from that experience that wail mart doesn't do 24 hour windows, nor do they acknowledge appt times at all especially in the home yard of Bentonville, AR.

I no longer go to wail mart stores or dc's nor shall I venture forth to ANY food warehouse or dc.
